Was thinking of going to the BMW 850, but the 890 is a lot lighter. The 1250 is just sooooo freakin heavy, it's a beatdown. It just depends on what you want to do with the bike. If you are going to ride off road mostly, get an 890r. If you plan to stay on road then look for a better road bike and a dirt bike.
